Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Narcotics Arrest—Aug. 25, 2:18 a.m., 10300 block of Sterling Boulevard. A deputy on routine patrol found a young man sleeping in his vehicle. The driver possessed a small amount of marijuana and a glass pipe. He was cited and released at the scene.

Egging—Aug. 24, 700 block of Stendhal Lane. Sometime during the night, an unknown person(s) threw raw eggs at a house and vehicle.

Burglary—Aug. 22, 2 p.m., 21700 block of Lomita Avenue. The property owner confronted a teenager in the backyard next to his tool shed. The boy had taken the victim's bicycle out of the shed and was holding it. The victim went to get his phone to call 911 and the young man ran from the scene and jumped over the rear fence. The teenager left behind a pink scooter. He is described as a teenage white male, about 15 years old with curly black hair.

Auto Burglary—Aug. 22, 10:30 a.m., 18800 block of Pendergast Avenue. Two victims reported that sometime during the night, an unknown person(s) entered their locked vehicle and stole the in-dash stereo system.

Possession of Narcotics—Aug. 21, 9:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard and Torre Avenue. A deputy on routine patrol observed a man riding his bicycle on the sidewalk and without a headlight. The deputy made contact with the 26-year-old bicyclist from San Jose and determined that he was on parole from State Prison. The man possessed a pipe and a small amount of marijuana.
