Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Narcotics Arrest—Sept. 2, 3:32 a.m., De Anza Boulevard and Bollinger Road. A deputy on routine patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 33-year-old male driver from San Jose was on parole from state prison. He was arrested for being under the influence of and possessing methamphetamine. A 23-year-old male passenger from San Jose was cited and released for possessing a small amount of marijuana.

Narcotics Arrest—Aug. 31, 11:55 p.m., 10500 block of Wunderlich Drive. A deputy on routine patrol observed a vehicle parked with two wheels up on the sidewalk. He made contact with the driver in the car and found him to be in possession of concentrated cannabis. The man stated that he had someone buy the drugs for him from a cannabis club in the East Bay and that he had no medical reason for possessing the controlled substance.

Arson—Aug. 31, 5:15 p.m., 10400 block Vista Drive. County Fire Engine 1 reported an arson at a school on Vista Drive. A witness stated she observed three males fleeing the scene in a red SUV just before she noticed smoke coming from the side of the school building. A chair was set on fire next to the building.

Narcotics Arrest—Aug. 30, 11:25 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stern Avenue. A deputy on routine patrol observed a man running across Stevens Creek Boulevard. The deputy made contact with him and recognized him to be under the influence of a stimulant. The 33-year-old Milpitas man had two outstanding warrants for his arrest on other criminal issues, and he possessed four bundles of crack.
