The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Residential Burglary—Sept. 15, between 2 and 8:10 p.m., 10300 block of Cold Harbor. The residents were not at home when an unknown person(s) entered a rear bedroom through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole jewelry.
Vandalism and Petty Theft to a Vehicle—Sept. 14, 11 a.m., 10000 block of Orange Avenue. Some time during the night an unknown person(s) pried off the emblem of this parked vehicle.
Vandalism and Petty Theft to Vehicles—Sept. 14, 11 a.m., 1100 block of Elmsford Drive, 7500 block of Barnhart Place and 1600 block of Galway Drive. Some time during the night unknown people pried off the emblems of several parked vehicles.
Under the Influence of a Narcotic—Sept. 9, 1:47 p.m., Bollinger Road and Lancer Drive. A deputy on routine patrol found a 48-year-old San Jose man hiding behind a dumpster with a flashlight. The deputy recognized him to be under the influence of a narcotic and arrested him.
Trespassing—Sept. 7, 5:20 p.m., 20800 block of Pepper Tree Lane. Unknown people entered a vacant residence through an open second story window. Once inside they drank some beer and left a mess.
Bicycle Theft—Sept. 7, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., 19400 block of Sorenson Avenue. An unknown person cut the chain around a bicycle worth $275 and stole it off of the front porch.
