Wildlife Education at McClellan Ranch
Celebrate nature and wildlife at McClellan Ranch Park on Oct. 4 between 10 a.m. and
2 p.m.
Families are invited to join Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society and over a dozen other environmental organizations to join in activities that include a bird banding demonstration, birdhouse and bird feeder building, barn tours, a scavenger hunt, educational presentations and a poster contest.
Live animals, including birds, reptiles and insects, will be slithering around there.
For "early birds," Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society will hold a guided shorebird walk at Charleston Slough in Mountain View's Baylands at 8 a.m.
Following the walk, participants will caravan to the Wildlife Education Day festivities in Cupertino.
RSVP is required for the walk only.
