The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Vandalism—Oct. 4, 8 p.m., Columbus Avenue. An unknown person slashed the tires on two vehicles parked in front of the victim's house. The total replacement of the tires will probably cost $450.
Burglary and Fraudulent Use of Access Cards—Oct. 4, 3:55 p.m., Acadia Court. The victim parked his vehicle in the driveway of his residence on Oct. 3. The next morning, he found his wallet with his ATM cards and driver's license missing from the vehicle. The weather seal of the driver window frame was pulled from its original location. There was an unauthorized use of the victim's ATM card. About $200 worth of items were charged to the card.
Petty Theft—Oct. 4, 3:15 p.m., Stelling Road. The victim's rear license plate was stolen from his vehicle, which was parked overnight in the victim's driveway. There was no damage to the vehicle.
Grand Theft—Oct. 4, 3:05 p.m., Oak Springs Court. Numerous items were taken from the victim's residence. The loss was about $530. The victim believes her house cleaner took the items.
Vandalism—Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m., McClellan Road. Graffiti was spray pained on the building of an elementary school. The cost to repaint the affected area exceeds $500.
Petty Theft—Oct. 4, 12:50 p.m., Valley Green Drive. Unknown people entered the victim's unlocked and parked vehicle and stole $50 in cash, library cards, a Costco membership card and a video store membership card.
Grand Theft—Oct. 4, 10:30 a.m., Addison Avenue. A man took the victim's ATM card and withdrew money from her account on five separate occasions, totaling $2,200. The man used the card and then returned it during the night while the victim slept. He did not have permission to use the card. He confessed to the victim and wrote her a note promising to pay the money back.
Drunk in Public—Oct. 4, 4:41 a.m., Finch Avenue and Tilson Drive. A man was found in his vehicle with an open container of alcohol. He had blood all over his head from large lacerations on his face. He said he sustained injuries during a prior fight at a bar. The man wore only a shirt and underwear, saying that he had urinated in his pants. The man smelled heavily of urine and alcohol. His eyes were bloodshot and his speech blurred. He was booked for drunk in public. He had $5,000 out of county warrant.
Stolen Vehicle—Oct. 4, 1:34 a.m., De Anza Boulevard and Rodrigues Avenue. An officer stopped a boy for driving without his headlights on. The boy was driving his mother's car without her permission. He didn't have a driver's license. On a consent search, the officer found a plastic bag containing marijuana in the pocket of his pants. The boy was cited and released to his mother.
Furnishing Narcotics to a Minor —Oct. 4, 1:13 a.m., De Anza Boulevard and Rodrigues Avenue. The officer performed an enforcement stop and found the driver had no identification and was unlicensed. The officer determined they were under the influence of narcotics. Two of the occupants were female juveniles in violation of Cupertino's curfew and were in company of adult males. The adult males were contributing to the delinquency of the females and one furnished them with narcotics.
