De Anza fundraiser a magic night of math
De Anza College's annual fundraiser, A Night of Magic, will celebrate a decade of success on Nov. 15 at the Hinson Campus Center. The annual gala raises a total of more than $500,000 for a variety of technology, science and creative arts programs.
This year's proceeds will be used to provide hardware, software and furnishings for a math, science and engineering laboratory that will bring together four multimedia classrooms, three computer labs, a resource center, study space and support services.
The theme of math and its importance for higher education will be woven throughout the gala.
A Night of Magic features wine tasting with 17 wineries pouring, an Italian dinner, auctions and magic performances.
