Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Motorcycle Deputy Sniffs Out Marijuana Smoker—Nov. 1, 2:08 p.m., intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Stelling Drive. The deputy was traveling northbound and smelled burning marijuana coming from the vehicle in front of him. He made an enforcement stop and discovered three hand-rolled marijuana cigarettes. The driver was cited and released.

Vandalism—Nov. 1, 12:30 a.m., 10900 block of Linda Vista Drive. A pumpkin was thrown from a moving vehicle. The pumpkin hit the back window of a parked car and shattered it.

Vandalism—Oct. 30, overnight, 22600 block of Liberty Oak. Sometime during the night, unknown people kicked open a locked restroom door in the common area.

Annoying a Child—Oct. 29, 3:30 p.m., Disney Lane. A 15-year-old female victim was walking home from school when a man drove up next to her and asked her if she wanted a ride. The teen wisely told him no and kept walking. The man tried driving around the block and offered her a ride again. The man is described as a Hispanic male and driving a silver minivan with a child's seat in the back.

Auto Burglaries—Oct. 26, overnight, 11500 block of Sunset Spring Court. Over a period of two days, the owners were out of town and left their vehicles parked, unlocked and unattended in front of their house. When they returned, they discovered someone had entered the cars and stolen the stereo equipment and other items totaling more than $7,000 in value.
