The Strikkers will hold girls fastpitch softball tryouts at Oak Grove High School, 285 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose—12 and under, Dec. 7 and 14; 14 and under, Nov. 23 and Dec. 6; 16 and under, Nov. 23 and Dec. 7; and 18 and under, Dec. 6 and 7.

The teams will play tournaments throughout the state and also in Colorado this summer.

5-on-5 soccer

A five-a-side youth soccer league will play a four-week season Nov. 29 through Dec. 20 at Del Mar High School and the old Blackford High School. Games will be played on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

The 5-on-5 games feature smaller fields with bigger goals than normal soccer fields. The registration fee is $250 for teams up to seven players, or $50 per player for individuals.

Youth water polo

A youth water polo program for boys and girls ages 9­14 meets twice weekly in the pool at Fremont High School. California Sports Center runs the program Sundays, 11 a.m.­12:30 p.m., and Mondays, 6:45­8 p.m. For more information, contact the California Sports Center at Fremont pool.

Bronco baseball
