The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Residential Burglary—Nov. 29, 9:45 p.m., Mann Drive. Around 5:15 p.m., the victims locked and secured their residence and left. About 9:40 p.m., the victims returned home and found the house had been ransacked. About $3,550 worth of jewelry and currency had been stolen.
Burglary—Nov. 29, 9:30 p.m., Estates Drive. Unknown person(s) broke into the victim's house from his son's bedroom window and took his wife's jewelry and his daughter's money. No other items were taken from the residence. The total loss of money and jewelry was about $17,300.
Burglary—Nov. 29, 8 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A man parked his car in the parking lot. When he returned, he found the driver's side window had been pried open. The $300 stock compact disc player had been stolen from the vehicle.
Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Petty Theft—Nov. 29, 2:04 p.m., Wolfe Road. A security officer saw a person exit a store concealing the store's merchandise. The person was apprehended outside the store. The sheriff found a glass pipe and a small bag of crystal rock substance on the person, who exhibited signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The person was arrested.
Stolen Vehicle and Petty Theft—Nov. 29, 8:30 a.m., Crystal Rey Drive. While the victim's car was unoccupied in the park's parking lot, someone stole the car. Taken along with the stolen car was the victim's wallet, which contained her house keys, credit cards, Social Security card and Walkman.
