The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Residential Burglary—Dec. 13, 10:10 p.m., Alves Drive. The victims left the house at 5 p.m. They left the windows unlocked. At 10:10 p.m., the victims returned to the residence and found two screens were removed from the windows. About $3,491 worth of jewelry was missing from the residence.
Making, Issuing or Circulating Unauthorized Money and Burglary—Dec. 13, 4:45 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A cashier notified the sheriff's office of counterfeit U.S. currency. On Dec. 12, an unknown person used 25 counterfeit $20 bills to purchase $468.63 worth of merchandise. The evidence was booked into the West Valley Station to be processed for fingerprints.
Burglary—Dec. 13, 11:40 a.m., Brent Drive. A man left his unlocked bicycle in his garage with the main garage door open from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 12. When he returned to the garage at 7 p.m., he discovered the bike was missing.
Giving False Information to a Peace Officer and Unlicensed Driving—Dec. 13, 7:35 p.m., Bubb Road. A police officer saw a woman driving with expired tags. The woman gave the officer an incorrect name and date of birth. When the officer was unable to locate any information, she continued to give incorrect information. Eventually the woman gave her full name and date of birth. She was cited for giving false information to a peace officer and driving on a suspended license as well as two outstanding traffic warrants.
