Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Vehicle Theft—Dec. 21, 10:15 p.m., Wunderlich Drive. A woman told a police officer that she had a fight with her mother and that she suspected her mother took her vehicle without permission. The police officer contacted the victim's mother and booked her into custody based on the victim's statement.

Grand Theft—Dec. 21, 8 p.m., N. Wolfe Road and Vallco Parkway. Two people were seen by customers concealing video games and movie DVDs. A store employee and one of the witnesses confronted the two people. The two people denied taking any properties and claimed that the store employee questioned them because of their race. The employee found missing items on the two people.

Under the Influence—Dec. 21, 7:15 p.m., Tilson Avenue. A police officer found a person was displaying objective symptoms of stimulant use. The person had dilated pupils, accelerated speech and a resting pulse of 100 beats per minute. The police officer found the person had a metal pipe commonly used for smoking illegal narcotics. The police officer booked the person into the main jail.

Auto Burglary—Dec. 21, 1:45 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A woman said her vehicle was parked in the underground parking area of an apartment complex. Unknown people used a coat hanger or similar tools to reach between the weather stripping and window glass of the rear driver's side door and released the lock. The unknown person(s) took two carrying cases and a cell phone from the back seat.
