The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Commercial burglary—Jan. 18, 8:20 p.m. N. Wolfe Road. Unknown suspects stole 48 items totaling $2,643.00 from a retail business. The suspects are still at large.
Criminal threats—Jan. 18, 5:45 p.m. Homestead Road at De Anza Boulevard. A female victim reported receiving approximately 10 threatening phone calls from an ex-boyfriend. The boyfriend, a Sunnyvale resident, was booked into the main jail.
Residential burglary—Jan. 18, 8:55 a.m. Johnson Avenue. The victim reported that someone had used an access card to enter her secured residential garage and taken a purse and wallet sitting in her unlocked, parked car. The suspects later charged $400 to the stolen credit cards. There is a possible lead in the case.
Resist, Obstruct, Delay—Jan. 17, 6:53 p.m. A juvenile suspect was seen smoking a cigarette. A sheriff's deputy approached and the suspect ran away. He was later found and arrested for resisting and for vandalism. He was cited and released to his mother.
Vandalism—Jan. 17, 8:15 a.m. The victim discovered his minivan had been vandalized in the night. The rear window had been broken, but nothing had been stolen from the vehicle. No suspects have been identified.
Unreasonable noise/Marijuana possession—Jan. 17, 4:30 a.m. The sheriff received a report of excessive noise at a residence where a suspect was found in possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana. The suspect reported suffering from clinical depression and alcohol abuse. She was booked into the main jail.
