History and know-how
of quilting at Quinlan
Quilting is an art form that used to be passed down from mother to daughter.
Girls today, don't even learn how to sew, not to mention how to quilt a blanket.
So the Cupertino Historical Society & Museum has decided to present Quilt Quilting as a part of its hands-on history series.
Participants can learn how to sew a simple block quilt square while listening to historians recount the history of quilting as an art form.
The program will take place April 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Cupertino Historical Museum, which is located at the Quinlan Community Center at 10185 N. Stelling Road.
The staff will teach all skill levels but the program is geared towards beginners. Children are welcome.
Because of space limitations, those who are interested should contact the Cupertino Historical Society before April 5.
