Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Soliciting With No Permits and After Hours--March 8, 8 p.m., Oak Valley Road. An alert citizen reported two solicitors working the neighborhood around 8 p.m. The deputy found them and cited a 20-year-old man from Florida and a 22-year-old man from Oregon. The man from Oregon had been cited in Saratoga for the same thing earlier that same day and was well aware of the ordinances.

Bicycle Theft--March 3, 9:20 a.m., 7900 block of August Lane. The victim left his bike unlocked and leaning up against his garage door. Sometime during the night, an unknown person(s) took it. The bike is valued at approximately $450.

Selling Alcohol to a Minor--Feb. 27, 7:45 p.m., 10000 block of Blaney Avenue. The Sheriff's Office was conducting a periodic alcohol sales decoy operation per the Alcoholic and Beverage Control's guidelines when this convenience store clerk was observed selling alcohol to a minor. The clerk was cited and released.

Residential Burglary--Feb. 25, 10:30 a.m., 10200 block of Mira Vista Drive. An unknown person(s) entered the victim's residence garage through an open garage door and located the car keys for the victim's Mercedes E430 sedan. The person then stole the victim's vehicle from the garage.

Residential Burglary--Feb. 20, 3:30 p.m., 10900 block of Linda Vista Drive. The victims were away on vacation when an unknown person(s) entered the home by prying open a rear window. The person stole cash and jewelry.
