Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Residential Burglary—March 8, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., 10600 block of Johansen Drive. Unknown person(s) entered a home through an unlocked dog door. They stole a PlayStation computer.

Auto Theft—March 8, 7:30 a.m., Kim Street and Kirwin Lane. A motorcycle traffic deputy was working the one-way portion of Kim Street at Bollinger Road and initiated an enforcement stop on a violator. The driver fled and crashed the vehicle near the intersection of McClellan and Bubb roads. The 23-year-old male driver from Cupertino was on parole from state prison for a prior theft, and his 25-year-old male passenger from Richmond had two warrants for his arrest. The two men were arrested and booked into county jail. They had allegedly stolen the car from Fallenleaf Lane the night before.

Motorcycle Theft—March 6, 3 p.m., 10100 block of Parkwood Drive. The victim reported that sometime during the past month, an unknown person(s) stole his unlocked 1999 Honda motorcycle from the carport area.

Under the Influence of a Narcotic—March 5, 12 p.m., Blaney Court. A deputy on routine patrol initiated a traffic enforcement to stop a 41-year-old man from Santa Clara for riding his bicycle on the sidewalk and riding it without proper lighting equipment. The man was wearing black pants and a black jacket, making him difficult to see. The deputy determined that the man was under the influence of a narcotic.
