Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Auto Burglary—March 22, 3:45 p.m., 10455 block of Miller Avenue. The victim left her purse on the seat of her locked vehicle to run some laps around the park. When she returned 45 minutes later, she discovered that an unknown person(s) had smashed a side window and stolen her purse.

Auto Burglary—March 22, 3:45 p.m., Tilson and Finch avenues. Most likely the same unknown person(s) from the Miller Avenue auto burglary burglarized this vehicle while it was parked near a high school. The vehicle was locked and a small purse was left on the back floorboard. A bus driver and a neighbor from across the street saw two men break into the victim's vehicle and run to a waiting vehicle with a getaway driver. The victim's purse was later located in the street a few blocks away. The men were described as Hispanic males in their 20s, driving a dark blue Jeep Cherokee.

Residential Burglary—March 22, 2:35 p.m., 11600 block of Cedar Spring Court. Sometime during the day, an unknown person(s) entered this home by prying open a rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the person(s) stole cash and jewelry worth approximately $35,000.

Auto Burglary—March 22, 10:45 a.m., 20900 block of Valley Green Drive. Sometime during the night, an unknown person(s) entered a locked vehicle by punching a door lock. Although there were several items inside the car, it appeared the person(s) searched through the car and decided nothing was worth taking.
