The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Burglary—April 4, 5:25 p.m., Finch Avenue. The victim parked her car in the parking lot. When she returned, she found the right passenger window shattered, and her purse was missing.
Residential Burglary—April 4, 2 p.m., Phar Lap Drive. An unknown person(s) entered the residence through an open window and stole a laptop computer and silverware. They exited through the open window and left.
Vandalism—April 3, 12:10 p.m., Deeprose Place. An unknown person threw a brick through the rear window of the victim's parked vehicle. The victim estimated the damage at $500.
Vandalism—April 3, 10:13 p.m., Culbertson Drive. Two boys were observed throwing rocks at two vehicles. They broke the vehicles' windows. Each window cost $400. The police cited one of the boys and released him to his mother. The other boy is still at large.
Possession/Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance—April 3, 2:40 a.m., De Anza Boulevard. A dispatcher stopped a car and found the passenger displayed objective symptoms of stimulant use. Her speech was accelerated. She had an unsteady gait and her eyelids fluttered when closed. The dispatcher found a bag containing a white crystallized substance. The passenger was later booked into the main jail.
Possession of Marijuana—April 2, 10: 55 a.m., Greenwood Drive. A dispatcher saw three juveniles near an apartment during school hours. As the dispatcher drove up, one of the juveniles took off running toward a carport area. The dispatcher found the boy inside the carport and a bag of marijuana and tobacco pipe. The boy admitted the items were his.
