Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Arson—April 18, 2:09 p.m., Homestead and Stelling roads. A tree and some bushes were set aflame in the parking lot. Two unknown juveniles were seen running away from the scene where the fire started. A passing motorist followed the two juveniles until he lost sight of them near Kirkwood in Sunnyvale. Witnesses described one juvenile as Hispanic or East Indian with dark skin, about 13 years old and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had a thin build and dark hair and wore a dark blue or black sweatshirt and dark pants. He carried a long skateboard with long black tape. The other juvenile was described as a medium-built Hispanic male about 12 years old with black curly hair and wearing an orange or red sweatshirt with some type of logo. He was carrying a skateboard.

Arson—April 16, 1:30 p.m., Presidio Drive and Bubb Road. An alert citizen reported that two juveniles were setting some debris on fire on the sidewalk. Deputies responded, cited the two boys and released them to their parents.

Auto burglary—April 15, 8 a.m., 7300 block of Rollingdell Avenue. Sometime during the night an unknown person entered this vehicle by smashing a side window. The person stole the in-dash stereo system and some music compact discs.

Egging and petty theft—April 15, 7 a.m., 21700 block of Hyannisport Drive. Sometime during the night, an unknown person(s) smashed eggs on this parked vehicle and stole the hood ornament.
