The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Grand Theft—Sept. 22, 1:45 a.m., Columbus Avenue. The unknown suspect(s) stole a full set of golf clubs from an automobile that had its convertible top down.
Arrest—Sept. 21, 1:30 a.m., Wunderlich Drive. A resident reported that the sound of his golf clubs being knocked over in his living room awakened him. He saw a man leaving his house and followed him. The suspect told him to get back into the house because he had a shotgun. The suspect then departed in a late model car. A few hours later, deputies discovered the car and eventually made contact with the driver. The victim came to the scene and positively identified the suspect.
Residential Burglary—Sept. 20, 4 p.m. Pepper Tree Lane. Between Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. and Sept. 20 at 4 p.m., the unknown suspect(s) entered a residence by forcing open a kitchen window. Several items inside the home were tampered with.
Vandalism—The unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear window of a parked vehicle, broke a mailbox post at another address and threw eggs at a vehicle at a third location.
Petty Theft—Sept. 17, 2:45 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. The reporting party said that someone stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of a local restaurant. She recovered her purse a few hours later but found that three credit cards and $35 in cash were missing.
