Caffeine yields to pot in coffeehouse exhibit

For much of the month of May, the Roasted Coffee Bean will offer more than just a cup of joe.

The Orchard Valley Ceramic Arts Guild is teaming with the coffeehouse to present May Clay Extravaganza, an exhibit featuring pieces by nearly 50 area potters and ceramic artists.

The guild has been showing off works by its members at Roasted Coffee Bean since October, but this display will include an artists' reception on May 22 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The open house will also feature an artist demonstrating use of a potter's wheel.

The May Clay Extravaganza runs May 828.

The Roasted Coffee Bean is located at 19110 Stevens Creek Blvd.

Chamber needs help promoting its festival

The Cupertino Chamber of Commerce wants to put up posters to promote its 19th annual art, wine and cultural festival and is asking the community to help.

The festival is a major fundraiser for the Chamber.

Businesses who are interested in helping can email David Ghio at david@cupertino-chamber.org or call him at 408.252.7054.

When the posters and postcards are ready in early June, the Chamber of Commerce will deliver or send them to interested businesses.
