The bride's parents are Jack and Charnel Wedgwood of Cupertino. She is a graduate of Cupertino High School and California State University, Chico, with a degree in instructional design, currently working as a freelance graphic designer and webmaster.

The groom's parents are Gene Deutscher of North Platte, Neb. and Karen Deutscher of Bartlesvill, Okla. He is a graduate of North Platte High School and of the University of Michigan. After graduating from college with a degree in aerospace engineering, he served as an officer in the United States Navy for eight years and now works for Space Systems/Loral in Palo Alto.
