Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Drunk in public—May 16, 2:35 a.m., Byrne Avenue at Granada Avenue. An officer saw two people walking in the middle of the road. After stopping them, the officer noticed a strong alcohol odor, and one was slurring his words and walking unsteadily. He was arrested. The other individual was evaluated and released at the scene.

Robbery, battery with a serious injury—May 15, 10:30 p.m., N. De Anza Boulevard. An individual struck a female victim five times in the face, causing the victim's right eye to swell. The individual then left the scene in a vehicle with the victim's purse and cell phone.

Burglary—May 15, 9:29 p.m., Price Avenue. A burglar forced a door open at a private residence. It is unknown whether the suspect took anything from the house.

Vehicle theft—May 15, 12:50 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. An officer responded to a call of vehicle theft at an office. The victim reported that their 2000 Dodge Tacoma with large "Estereo Sol 98.9 FM" medallions had been stolen from the parking lot. No suspects have been identified.

Under the influence of a controlled substance—May 14, 7:45 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Mary Avenue. A white vehicle with no front license plate was traveling eastbound on Stevens Creek Boulevard. An officer stopped the vehicle and observed the driver displaying symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Upon arrest, the driver had a blood sample taken and was booked into county jail.
