Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Drunk in public—May 30, 11:05 p.m., Rosemarie Place. A sheriff's deputy responded to a report of a family disturbance. A juvenile had had a verbal argument with his parents and climbed out his bedroom window. The boy was found on Miller Avenue, where he was acting under the influence and admitted to drinking alcohol. He was booked into juvenile hall.

Petty theft—May 30, 5:40 p.m., Bandley Drive. After taking grocery items from a store without paying for them, a suspect was cited and released. The total value of the stolen goods was $19.47.

Vandalism—May 30, 10:19 a.m., De Anza Boulevard. Two thousand dollars' worth of damage was done to a drive-through sign. The vandals left the scene and remain at large.

Under the Influence of Marijuana/Possession of Less than 1 oz. of Marijuana—May 29, 11:15 p.m., Lucille Avenue at Larry Way. A woman was discovered displaying objective symptoms of marijuana use—bloodshot eyes, dilated pupils and slow speech. She admitted to using marijuana and was booked at the main jail.

Burglary—May 29, 7:18 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A man concealed five DVDs in his pants and left a store without paying for them. The total value of the stolen goods was $159.97. He was booked into the main jail.

Lost Property—May 29, 7:15 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A woman left her purse sitting on a bench at Vallco Fashion Park. The purse contained $100 in cash, a $300 Motorola cell phone and three credit cards. Vallco security did not find the purse in the Lost and Found.
