Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Vehicle Theft—Sept. 12, 7:10 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A vehicle was stolen from a parking structure at a shopping center.

Vandalism—Sept. 11, 2:41 p.m., Creston Drive. A known suspect did a combined $2,500 worth of damage to three vehicles and was booked into the main jail.

Burglary From Auto—Sept. 11, 10:00 a.m., Ann Arbor Avenue. After parking his car in a loading/unloading zone for approximately 10 minutes, a man returned to discover that his wife's purse was missing from the floorboard of the car. No suspects have been identified.

Grand Theft—Sept. 10, 10:35 a.m., Mariani Avenue. An individual attempted to turn in stolen property worth $1,599 for maintenance. The individual has not been contacted and is still at large.

Stolen Vehicle/Unlicensed Driver—Sept. 10, 3:23 a.m., Lawrence Expressway at Stevens Creek Boulevard. A driver performed an unsafe lane change in front of a sheriff's deputy, and upon contact, the driver could not identify the registered owner of the vehicle. The East Palo Alto Police Department was unsuccessful in contacting the owner. The driver was cited and released for being an unlicensed driver and the car was towed. The registered owner later reported the vehicle as stolen.

Vandalism—Sept. 9, 3:50 p.m., De La Farge Drive. Between 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 3:40 p.m. on Sept. 9, a house was sprayed with blue spray paint in several locations. The reporting party was a neighbor of the victim. Damage to the house was valued at $400. Photographs of the damage were taken. There are no suspects.
