The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Runaway Juvenile—Sept. 26, 5:30 p.m., Merriman Road. At approximately 2 p.m. on Sept. 25, a female juvenile voluntarily left home. Her father reported her missing the next day and wants her prosecuted for taking his property without permission. The juvenile takes the medication strattera for ADD but is not considered an at-risk youth.
Petty Theft—Sept. 26, 5 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. Over a closed-circuit store security system, a woman was spotted placing four pairs of earrings in her coat pocket. After paying for additional items at the register, the woman left the store without attempting to pay for the earrings. The woman was detained outside the store, where the earrings were recovered, and she was escorted back to the security office, and the Sheriff's Office was contacted. She was cited and released.
Petty Theft—Sept. 26, 3:40 p.m., Barnhardt Place. A Volkswagen and BMW belonging to the residents were parked in front of their home overnight. The next morning, the victims found that the emblems had been taken from each vehicle. Each emblem cost $30. There are no suspects.
Burglary (Vehicle)—Sept. 26, 1:30 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. The victim left her locked vehicle in her employer's parking lot and went inside to work. She returned to her vehicle during a break to find her purse missing from inside her vehicle. There are no suspects.
