The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Vandalism—Oct. 11, 9:50 p.m., Wilkinson Avenue. Between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, an unknown person(s) used a razor blade to cut the left rear tire of a parked minivan. There were no witnesses.
Burglary (Commercial)/ Resist/Delay a Peace Officer—Oct. 11, 4:20 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A juvenile entered the restricted warehouse area of a store and began to load a pallet-style cart with merchandise. When confronted by employees, the juvenile claimed he was picking up a delivery. A deputy ordered the juvenile to stop, and the juvenile resisted and fled. The juvenile was later arrested and released to a parent.
Battery—Oct. 11, 9:45 a.m., Bollinger Road. While play-fighting with a friend on Oct. 7 between 1 and 1:15 p.m., the victim was approached and kicked in the groin by another juvenile. The victim missed class to ice himself, but was taken to the emergency room for treatment later that night by his sister. His father requested further prosecution. The juvenile was cited and released.
Under the Influence of a Stimulant/Possession of a Syringe—Oct. 11, 6 a.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at De Anza Boulevard. Sheriff's deputies made a pedestrian stop on a man who was displaying bizarre behavior. The man had dilated pupils and red, watery eyes. His pulse was 130 beats per minute. A deputy found a syringe in the man's backpack. The man was then arrested for being under the influence of a stimulant and possessing a syringe.
