The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Vandalism—Oct. 31, 12:17 a.m., N. Wolfe Road. An employee at Vallco Fashion Park parked his car at 2 p.m. in a parking lot. After getting off work at midnight, he returned to find that his windshield had three impact marks, indicating that someone struck the windshield with a hammer or bar. No other damage was done to the vehicle, and there are no witnesses or suspects.
Burglary (Auto)—Oct. 30, 1:10 p.m., Bubb Road. A man parked his vehicle in a parking lot across the street from his apartment complex. He returned to find his front windshield and right front passenger window broken. An unknown person took two CD cases containing approximately 50 CDs.
Grand Theft—Oct. 30, 1 p.m., Fairwood Court. Property, including keys and a cellular phone, were stolen from a Mercedes. The thief is unknown and still at large.
Petty Theft—Oct. 30, 2:30 p.m., Pinntage Parkway. An unknown person(s) opened an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot and stole approximately $294 worth of property.
Grand Theft/Theft by Credit Card—Oct. 30, 6 p.m., Clubhouse Lane. A woman left her purse in her friend's unlocked vehicle, which was parked in a golf course parking lot. She returned to find the purse gone. The purse, cellular phone, wallet and cash inside are valued at $700. The victim's credit cards and checks were also taken, which were later used to make purchases and withdraw cash. There are no suspects.
