Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Burglary (Residence)—Nov. 28, 10:19 a.m., Ainsworth Drive. An unknown person(s) entered a residence and stole property valued in total at $835.

Attempted Burglary (Residence)—Nov. 28, 12:48 p.m., W. Hill Court. Window screens were removed from a house in an attempt to force entry through an exterior door. The responsible parties are unknown and at large.

Theft and Unlawful Driving of a Vehicle—Nov. 28, 12:02 a.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at S. De Anza Boulevard. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. Dispatch informed the officer that the car was possibly stolen, so the officer detained the driver until the theft was confirmed. The driver was booked into the main jail, and his personal property booked into the West Valley Substation.

Misuse of Handicapped Placard—Nov. 27, 5:55 p.m., N. Wolfe Road at Stevens Creek Boulevard. A woman was seated in a vehicle parked in a handicapped parking stall. After checking the placard in the car, an officer cited the woman because the placard was issued to her husband, who was at home. The citation included a court date in Palo Alto, and the placard was booked as evidence.

Petty Theft/Fraudulent Use of Credit Card—Nov. 27, 4:05 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. While shopping, a woman's wallet was stolen and her credit card used to make a purchase in the amount of $79.07. The thief remains at large.
