The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Petty Theft—Dec. 4, 5:10 p.m., N. Wolfe Road at Stevens Creek Boulevard. A 17-year-old girl put earrings, a necklace and two wallets into a shopping bag she was carrying and exited the store without paying for the items. She was arrested and the property, valued at $87, was recovered. The juvenile was released to a parent.
Petty Theft—Dec. 4, 6:00 p.m., N. Wolfe Road at Stevens Creek Boulevard. In a retail store, a 42-year-old woman and her 64-year-old mother collected items of clothing and entered a fitting room. The daughter handed items to her mother, who then put the items into a shopping bag from a different store. The mother also put on a coat with the tags still attached, and then attempted to leave the store while wearing and carrying all the merchandise. The total value of the items was $306.73.
Found Bicycle—Dec. 4, 8:07 a.m., Stokes Avenue. A bicycle was turned into sheriff's deputies as found property.
Auto Burglary—Dec. 3, 1:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Phar Lap Drive. While the victim was golfing, an unknown person(s) stole her purse from the trunk of her locked Lincoln Town Car. The purse included $200 in cash and the victim's cell phone. There were no witnesses.
Dangerous Weapons on Campus—Dec. 3, 2:21 p.m., Homestead Road. A juvenile brought a dangerous weapon onto school grounds. The juvenile was cited and released to their parents.
