Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Burglary—Jan. 2, 6:58 p.m., Homestead Road. Three unknown persons took 25 to 30 shirts and sweaters from a retail store and ran outside to a red 1980s Honda that was waiting for them. The three fled the scene and are still at large. An officer collected a CD with video surveillance recorded onto it. The value of the stolen property could not be estimated.

Burglary (Residential)—Jan. 2, 9:25 a.m., Robindell Way. An officer responded to a residential burglary call after an unknown person entered a residence by a bedroom window. The person took an unknown amount of the resident's jewelry. The officer could not contact the residents to inform them of the crime.

Attempted Residential Burglary—Jan. 2, 2:53 a.m., Forge Way at Homestead Road. After ringing the doorbell at a residence twice, three people hid in the shrubbery along the east wall toward an open window. The victim said she yelled out that she'd called the police and that she had a gun, which prompted the three to flee the scene. They are still at large.

Burglary (Commercial)/ Possession of Stolen Property—Jan. 1, 11:43 p.m., Miller Avenue. A silent alarm was tripped, and an officer responded. He saw two individuals fleeing the scene on foot. One was found hiding in bushes and was displaying objective symptoms of stimulant use. He admitted to smoking methamphetamine, and was also in possession of a computer hard drive component and a shaving kit.
