Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Vandalism—Feb. 13, 6:20 p.m., N. Wolfe Road at Vallco Parkway. A man and his family went to a restaurant at 4:30 p.m. in a van. They parked in a small space. While the group was eating in the restaurant, an unknown party used a sharp object to scratch the paint on the passenger side doors of the van. The damage is estimated between $600 to $1,000.

Found Property—Feb. 13, 11:15 a.m., Valley Green Drive. An employee at a self-storage business found a California license plate on the ground on the perimeter of the business's property. A DMV check showed that the plate belonged to someone in Oakland, but there was no physical address listed. The plate was expired as of Jan. 26. The plate was entered into the DMV database as found property and booked into the sheriff's office property room.

Battery with Great Bodily Injury—Feb. 13, 3:20 a.m., S. De Anza Boulevard. At approximately midnight, four friends were hanging out in a parking lot when a group of four approached. One of the approaching four hit one of the friends twice with a closed fist. The victim went to the hospital with a bloody nose that was possibly broken. The responsible party is unknown and still at large.

Missing Person—Feb. 12, 11:55 p.m., Mira Vista Road. A juvenile was reported missing. A sheriff's deputy entered the juvenile in the missing person system and issued an APB. The juvenile later returned home.
