The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
B>Burglary (Residential)--Feb. 21, 7:55 a.m., Rampart Avenue. An unknown person(s) entered a residence and ransacked it while the owners were on vacation. The owners could not be reached.
Bomb Threat--Feb. 20, 3:35 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A man walked into a store and said the store would "blow up." The manager evacuated the store, and an explosive recognition K-9 unit arrived to search the business. The K-9 unit did not find any explosives. The manager reopened the store for business. The man who issued the warning has not been identified and is still at large.
Burglary (Residential)--Feb. 19, 9 p.m., Colby Avenue. After a man left his residence, an unknown party entered the backyard of his house by going through the side gate. The party forced a window from its frame to enter the house and took a pearl necklace, two rings and two bracelets, leaving other large valuables untouched. The victim arrived home at 9 p.m. to find a rear window and sliding glass door open.
Burglary (Residential)--Feb. 18, 5:40 p.m., San Fernando Avenue at Byrne Avenue. Someone entered a home by using bodily force to unlatch a rear window from its frame. The unknown person(s) took $30 in cash from a bedroom and a camera from the family room table and then exited through the side door to the yard.
Vandalism Less than $400--Feb. 18, 4:30 p.m., Phil Lane. On Feb. 17, a 13-year-old juvenile wrote inappropriate language in the women's restroom at a school. The juvenile was cited and released.
