Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Auto Burglary--April 3, 6:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Blaney Avenue. An unknown person(s) took items from a car at a restaurant. The person broke the car's right front passenger window and also removed items from the trunk. The responsible party is still at large.

Stolen Vehicle--April 3, 12:15 a.m., N. Wolfe Road. The evening of April 2, an unknown person(s) stole a car from a parking garage.

Petty Theft--April 2, 3:56 p.m., Homestead Road. A store detective spotted a shopper concealing a compact disc. The shopper then walked out of the store without paying for the item. The store detective confronted the individual and alerted police, who then cited and released the individual.

Drug Possession--April 2, 4:50 p.m., Bollinger Road at Lancer Drive. A sheriff's deputy stopped a vehicle with a broken windshield and brake lights. After police searched the vehicle, the driver admitted to possession of methamphetamine. Police also found a plastic bag with a crystalline substance, arrested the individual and took him to the main jail.

Residential Burglary--April 1, 9:20 p.m., Denison Avenue. An unknown person(s) took jewelry and ransacked a residence after entering the home through an unlocked window. The responsible party is still at large.

Hate Crime--April 1, 1:15 p.m., Finch Avenue. A juvenile admitted to drawing swastikas on the walls of a boy's locker room. The juvenile admitted to prejudices against Jewish people. He was released to his mother.
