The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Burglary (Residential)--Nov. 5, 8:10 p.m., Normandy Court. An unknown person(s) entered a residence through an unlocked bedroom window and ransacked drawers and cabinets, taking approximately $6,600 in property and two passports.
Vandalism--Nov. 5, 11:44 a.m., Royal Oak Way. Three men cut branches off a eucalyptus tree. The men drove away in a white van. The resident reported a similar incident to the sheriff's office one month ago. The identity of the three men is unknown and they are at large.
Burglary (Residential)--Nov. 4, 6:45 p.m., Wheaton Drive. An unknown person(s) entered a residence through an unlocked bedroom window. The burglar(s) took approximately $550 in jewelry.
Found Bicycle--Nov. 3, 3:11 p.m., Carol Lee Drive. A sheriff's officer located a Trek bicycle on the east side of Carol Lee Drive. The bike was placed in a storage yard.
Possession of a Controlled Substance/Burglary Tools--Nov. 3, 4:04 a.m., Miller Ave. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for not having a front plate and discovered the driver had possession of 1.5 grams of methamphetamine. The driver also had bolt cutters, grip vices, screwdrivers and costume jewelry. He could not explain why he had these items and was placed into custody.
Burglary (Commercial)--Nov. 2, 11:54 a.m., S. Blaney Avenue. Three people entered a store and stole $200 worth of lobsters and prawns. One person waited for the seafood in the store, then exited without paying and drove off with the other two people. The three were spotted a few miles away and arrested.
