The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Identity Theft-Nov. 26, 11:50 a.m., Milky Way. A person fraudulently obtained an individual's last name and partial social security number to set up a new phone account.
Petty Theft-Nov. 25, 6:30 p.m., Wolfe Road at Stevens Creek Boulevard. A man entered a store with his wife and child and attempted to leave without paying for several items. He was carrying less than $400 in merchandise. The man was cited and released with his written promise to appear.
Petty Theft-Nov. 24, 10 a.m., Loree Avenue. A person had two front doors for sale in his yard for $300 apiece. Between Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 someone stole the doors. The person responsible for the thefts has not been identified.
Possession of Methamphetamine-Nov. 24, 3:05 a.m., Rainbow Drive at De Anza Boulevard. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle and found the person to be on parole and a warrant out for his arrest. The officer searched the car and found a methamphetamine pipe, 13 hydromorphone pills and four hypodermic needles. The drugs and paraphernalia belonged to a passenger. The officer booked both persons into the main jail.
Possession of Marijuana in Vehicle-Nov. 25, 12:40 a.m., Foothill Expressway at Stevens Creek Boulevard. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for not having current registration stickers. The driver appeared nervous, and the officer detected a strong smell of marijuana from the car. The driver admitted he had marijuana. The officer found a bag of marijuana, cited the driver and released him at the scene.
