The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Identity Theft--Dec. 25, 1:46 p.m., Santa Teresa. A person unlawfully accessed another person's bank account and transferred $1,155,000 from the account. The money was unlawfully acquired through an unauthorized sale of 30,000 shares of stock from the victim's account.
Burglary--Dec. 24, 3:30 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. An unknown person(s) broke the glass to the rear passenger sliding door of a 2001 minivan and took a woman's purse containing credit cards, a diamond ring and a social security card.
Grand Theft--Dec. 23, 4:33 p.m., Homestead Road. A person(s) broke open several fire extinguisher enclosures and took 11 fire extinguishers valued at $880. The person(s) responsible is unknown and at large.
Auto Burglary--Dec. 22, 9:45 p.m., Perimeter Road. An unknown person(s) smashed a rear passenger window of a car and took a briefcase and a cake.
Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card-Dec. 22, 8:10 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. An unknown person(s) used another person's credit card without permission to purchase $3,977 from a laminating company in Illinois.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia--Dec. 20, 4:17 p.m., Alhambra Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a bicyclist for running a red light and found him in possession of a glass pipe. The person said he used the pipe to smoke methamphetamine. The person also displayed symptoms of stimulant usage and was booked into the main jail.
Stalking/Burglary--Dec. 20, 2 p.m., Parish Place. A woman attempted to end a dating relationship after two years, but the other person continued to call and visit unannounced. The person also entered the woman's home without permission while she was at school.
