Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Attempted Burglary--Jan. 20, 8:40 p.m., Bubb Road. Three juveniles entered a school campus and attempted to gain access to rooms. When sheriff's officers arrived, the three fled but were apprehended on a playing field. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.

Burglary (Commercial)--Jan. 20, 1:41 p.m., Alves Drive. An unknown person broke into a locker at a gym and took car keys. The car keys were used to open the trunk of a vehicle and to take a purse containing approximately $1,100 worth of items.

Burglary (Auto)--Jan. 19, 9:45 a.m., Lindy Lane. An unknown person discovered someone had broken the right passenger window of his truck. A laptop left on the front seat was also missing. The person(s) responsible is at large.

Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance--Jan. 19, 3:15 a.m., N. De Anza Boulevard. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle and found the driver to have symptoms of stimulant use. The woman said she had used methamphetamine and marijuana. The woman was taken to the main jail.

Stolen Vehicle (occupied)--Jan. 18, 4:15 p.m., De Anza Boulevard at I-280. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a carpool violation and learned via radio the car was stolen from Redwood City. The driver said he bought the car for $1,000 from a friend.

Identity Theft--Jan. 17, 8:50 a.m. Via Camino Court. A person used another individual's credit card and checking account information to charge $1,789 and withdraw $580 without permission. The person responsible is at large.
