Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Battery on Boyfriend--March 24, 11:15 p.m., Finch Avenue. A high school student was beaten by his ex-girlfriend at a Sadie Hawkins Day Dance.

Drug Possession/Stolen Vehicle--March 24, 3:05 p.m., Homestead Road. Three people were observed standing by three vehicles. One of the vehicles was stolen. Another man was found sleeping on a couch in a U-Haul. One of the persons admitted to possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Two of the people were also under the influence of a controlled substance. The vehicles were towed and the persons booked into the main jail.

Vandalism--March 22, 10 p.m., Felton Way. For more than a month, a man's house and vehicle have been egged. An ex-girlfriend of the man is alleged to be responsible. The person(s) responsible are at large.

Identity Theft--March 22, 4 p.m., Aster Court. A person doing online banking discovered three unauthorized transactions. The person called the number associated with the transactions and found it belongs to a business called Netteller. An employee of the business said the unauthorized transactions may have taken place at an online poker site.

Possession of Methamphetamine--March 22, 3:42 p.m., Finch Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a man for running across Stevens Creek Boulevard. There was also a warrant out for his arrest. A search yielded a glass pipe with a white residue, a hypodermic needle and a small crystal bag containing a white powder. The officer booked the man into the main jail.
