Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Under the Influence of Stimulant--April 2, 6:14 a.m., Perimeter Road. A sheriff's officer who was speaking with a man noticed the man showed symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamine. The officer searched the man's backpack and found several wire-cutters. The officer transported the man to the main jail.

Burglary (Residential)--April 1, 9:20 p.m., Glenview Drive. An unknown person(s) entered a house through an unsecured living room window. The person(s) ransacked the home and took approximately $5,050 in cash and jewelry.

Burglary (Residential)--April 1, S. Blaney Road. 9:15 p.m. An unknown person(s) entered a house through an unlocked window. The person(s) ransacked the master bedroom and took jewelry and savings bonds.

Burglary--March 31, 1:35 p.m., Bubb Road. An unknown person(s) pried open a roll-up door and took 20 laptop computers from a recycling center for used computers. The value of the computers was approximately $2,000.

Burglary (Residential)--March 29, 3:45 p.m., Via Napoli. An unknown person(s) took a garage-door remote control from an unlocked vehicle. The person(s) then used the remote to open the garagedoor and take a karaoke machine and two boxes with miscellaneous items.
