Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Burglary (Auto)--April 22,
6 p.m., Alves Drive. An unidentified suspect used an object to smash a window in a parked vehicle. The suspect then took a purse and a black leather backpack.

Possession of Marijuana--April 22, 1:30 p.m., Stern Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for loud exhaust. A person in the vehicle had marijuana in his pocket and 2.7 grams of marijuana in a plastic baggie. The person was cited and released.

Attempted Burglary--April 21, 3:55 p.m., Squirehill Court. An unknown suspect or suspects attempted to pry a front door off a residence, setting off an alarm. The suspect(s) then fled and remains at large.

Grand Theft--April 21, 1:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. An unknown person(s) removed rims and tires valued at $2,000 from a vehicle parked in an apartment garage. No one has been caught.

Methamphetamine Sales/Transportation--April 20, 2:48 p.m., Calvert Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a missing front plate. The driver admitted to marijuana possession and a search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and empty plastic bags. The driver admitted intent to sell and was booked into the main jail.

Burglary (Commercial)--April 18, 4:05 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. An unknown person(s) pried the front door off a business and took jewelry and crystal valued at $30,000. The person(s) responsible remains at large.

Possession of Hash Oil--April 17, 6 p.m., Foothill Expressway. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for an expired registration tag. The driver admitted to possession of marijuana cigarettes sprinkled with hash. The driver also had an outstanding warrant. The sheriff's officer booked the man into the main jail.
