Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Paraphernalia--April 29, 6:32 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Torre Avenue. A sheriff's officer conducted a consensual search of a pedestrian and found a glass methamphetamine pipe. The officer arrested the person on charges of possession.

Burglary/Possession of a key--April 28, 4:59 p.m., Ridgeview Court. Two people walked into a building with an unauthorized card key. Both were wearing gloves and later walked out of the building with laptops--actions recorded on a surveillance camera. The value of the merchandise is estimated to be $6,000, and the laptops are prototypes not on the market.

Possession of Shuriken--April 26, 2:25 p.m., Bubb Road. A person threatened another individual with shuriken (throwing star) after being punched in the shoulder. Both were cited and released to their legal guardians.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Paraphernalia--April 26, 10:45 a.m., Calvert Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a violation and found a glass pipe and methamphetamine in the vehicle. The driver also had misdemeanor warrants and was booked into the main jail.

Under the Influence of a Stimulant--April 27, 10:41 p.m., Wunderlich Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for not having current registration. The driver appeared nervous, and the officer suspected he was under the influence of a stimulant.

Arson--April 30, 11:13 p.m., Finch Avenue. An unknown person(s) set several trash cans on fire. The reporting party saw a car leaving the scene.
