Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Vandalism--May 6, 11:58 p.m., N. Blaney Avenue. A sheriff's officer Burglary (Residential)--May 14, San Fernando Avenue, 2:20 p.m. A burglar entered a garage through a partially open door and took tools and vehicle accessories. The person responsible is at large.
Burglary (Residential)--May 13, Farrallone Drive, 9 p.m. An unknown person(s) entered a residence and ransacked a master bedroom. The person(s) took jewelry valued at $5,000.
Under the Influence of a Stimulant--May 12, 4:40 p.m., Santa Clara Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver stopped and ran into a house. The sheriff's officer then talked to the driver and determined he was under the influence of a stimulant. The officer booked the person into the main jail.
Burglary (Commercial)--May 11, 2:16 p.m., De Anza Boulevard. A person pried off a door of a business and then broke a hole in a wall shared with an electronics store. The person then stole about $648 in items from the electronics store. The person responsible is at large.
Possession of Ecstasy--May 10, 10:16 p.m., Mary Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The driver did not possess a license and a search of the vehicle yielded a plastic bag with five ecstasy pills. The driver was booked into the main jail.
Burglary (Commercial)--May 10, 3:37 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A person(s) broke a glass window at a business and stole wild ginseng roots valued at $2,000 and dried abalone valued at $600 per pound. The person(s) responsible are at large.
