Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Grand Theft--June 9, 9:40 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. Store security detained a woman seen concealing items valued at $456 in a stroller. The woman was booked into the main jail, and her children were released to their father.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon--June 8, 12:35 p.m., Sorenson Avenue. Police say a person attacked a student after school. The person used fists and a pool stick to cause injury. The student received injuries requiring medical attention, and the person responsible was booked into the main jail.
Embezzlement--June 7, 4 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. An employee at an unnamed institution is suspected of withdrawing $16,010 from an 87-year old female customer's account without permission. The employee is at large.
Burglary--June 6, 8:30 p.m., Foothill Boulevard. An unknown person(s) pried open a locked storage shed in a residential back yard. The person(s) took a color television, videocassette recorder and guitar with a combined value of $650.
Felony Vandalism--June 5, 3:40 p.m., Homestead Road. An unknown person(s) shattered a vehicle's right front passenger window, causing more than $400 in damage. The vandalism occurred in the staff parking lot of a high school.
Possession of Methamphetamine--June 5, 2:03 p.m., McClellan Road. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a violation. The driver consented to a search of her purse. The officer found a baggie with a white crystalline substance and a glass pipe with residue. The officer booked the woman into the main jail.
