Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Burglary (Auto)--July 14, 2:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. An unknown person(s) broke a window in a vehicle and took a laptop computer, a smart phone, portable hard drive and other items. The value of the property taken is $3,695.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance--July 14, 1:59 p.m., Donegal Drive. A person was found sitting in a vehicle in front of a known drug house. The person displayed symptoms of being under the influence. She was booked into the main jail.
Possession of Marijuana--July 14, 12 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a code violation and smelled marijuana as he made contact with the driver. One person in the vehicle had a box of marijuana on the floor next to him and admitted it was his. The person was cited for possession of less than 28 grams and released.
Burglary (Residential)--July 13, 10:36 p.m., Ainsworth Drive. A person had two model helicopters valued at $2,100 taken from his garage. The person(s) did not take nine model airplanes, golf clubs, and two mountain bikes. The person(s) is unknown and at large.
Possession of Marijuana for Sale--July 13, 12:21 a.m., Steliing Road. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a broken brake light. Two juveniles in the vehicle said the driver sold them marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded a large amount of marijuana in plastic bags, two small pipes and small black scale. The driver also had a large amount of small bills
. He was booked into the main jail.
Petty Theft--June 13, 8 p.m., Via Lombardi. An unknown person(s) pried open mail boxes, removed mail and left the scene. The person(s) responsible is at large.
Burglary--July 11, 9:08 a.m., S. De Anza Boulevard. A manager entered a business and found the security gate had been cut open. An unknown person(s) took 75 cameras from a display case. The value of the missing cameras is estimated to be at least $15,.000. The person(s) responsible are at large.
