Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Possession of Methamphetamine--July 27. 7:42 p.m., Bollinger Road. A sheriff's officer stopped a truck for traveling in the bike lane. The driver admitted to having methamphetamine and marijuana in his possession and was booked into jail.

Burglary--July 26, 8 p.m., Prado Vista Drive. An unknown person(s) opened an unsecured window of a church. The person(s) went to an unlocked office and played video games on a laptop computer. The person(s) then took a Bulova watch.

Possession of Methamphetamine--July 26, 4:53 p.m., Miller Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for broken tail lights. The driver consented to a search and the officer found methamphetamine in a pocket. The driver was booked into the main jail.

Theft of Credit Card--July 26, Oak Meadow Court. An unknown person(s) used a credit card without permission to make six purchases in the state of Georgia. The purchases totaled $519. The person responsible is at large.

Burglary--July 25, 1 p.m., Cottonwood Drive. A person(s) entered a residence through an open kitchen window. The person(s) stole a laptop, $200 in cash and jewelry. The person(s) responsible is at large.

Purchasing Marijuana--July 25, 10 a.m., Finch Avenue. School staff detained two students observed in a drug transaction on a baseball field. A 16-year-old admitted selling marijuana to another student for $20. Both students were cited and released to their parents.
