Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Grand Theft--Aug. 5, 3:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A sheriff's officer responded to theft at a restaurant. An unknown person(s) took approximately $794 from a safe.

Possession of Methamphetamine--Aug. 4, 12:45 p.m., Hollyhead Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a truck without plates. The driver had methamphetamine in his right front pocket and an outstanding "no bail" warrant. The officer booked the person into the main jail.

Grand Theft--Aug. 4, 5 p.m., Homestead Road. An unknown person(s) stole an electronic stimulation device from an office. The owner of the machine trusted another employee with the device and arrived at work and found it missing. The person(s) responsible are unknown.

Under the Influence of a Stimulant/Possession--Aug. 4, 6:43 p.m., Bollinger Road. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for an expired registration. The driver had a suspended license and was under the influence of a stimulant and possessed drug paraphernalia. The officer booked the driver into the main jail.

Motor Vehicle Theft--Aug. 2, 3:30 p.m., Park Circle West. A person reported his vehicle stolen from the front of his residence. The person(s) responsible are unknown and at large.

Possession of Unlawful Weapons--Aug. 1, 10:27 p.m., Montebello Road. A sheriff's officer located six individuals drinking after hours in Stevens Canyon Park. In one person's vehicle, the officer found a metal bat. The person said he used it for protection. Another person was unable to stand.
