Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Robbery--Aug. 15, 3 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A person took two power tools valued at $129 each from a store. A store guard confronted the person. The person punched the guard in the jaw, dropped the tools and fled the scene.

Found Property--Aug. 15, 8:20 p.m., Rose Blossom Drive. A person reported an abandoned blue Rockhopper mountain bicycle. The bicycle was taken to a storage yard as found property.

Petty Theft of Mail--Aug. 15, 10:10 p.m., Carmen Drive. An unknown person(s) pried open a residential mailbox.

Robbery--Aug. 18, 2:33 p.m., Bandley Drive. A man posted an ad online for his watch. Another person arranged a meeting to look at the watch. The two drove to a private location and the customer used a gun to rob the man of the watch, valued at $19,000. The person put the watch in a bag and fled the scene.

Possession of Methamphetamine--Aug. 18, 11:21 p.m., Tantau Avenue. During a vehicle stop, a sheriff's officer smelled marijuana in a vehicle A check on the driver revealed she had a $2,500 warrant. A passenger in the vehicle had two $15,000 warrants. The officer searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine and two methamphetamine pipes. Both persons were booked into the main jail.

Misuse of a Disabled Person's Placard--Aug. 19, 3:25 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A person parked her vehicle in a disabled person's stall and displayed an Indiana state disabled placard. The person was not disabled or transporting a disabled person. The person was cited.
