Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Burglary (Residential)--Oct. 7, 8:32 a.m., Donegal Avenue. Sometime during the afternoon or evening, a person(s) entered an occupied residence and took a purse. The person(s) later unsuccessfully tried to use credit cards from the purse.
Burglary--Oct. 7, 3:10 a.m., Johnson Ave. A person used a screwdriver to pry open a screen door. The person then took $300 in gold jewelry and necklaces and is at large.
Burglary--Oct. 5, 8:54 p.m., Shattuck Drive. A person(s) entered a home during the afternoon and took knives and coins from a collection, an iPod and silver certificates. The value of the missing items was $6,000. The person(s) responsible are at large.
Possession of Methamphetamine for sale--Oct. 4. 5:34 p.m., Johnson Avenue. Sheriff's officers contacted a woman at her residence. She permitted a search of the home and the officers found methamphetamine in Ziplock bags. She admitted to selling methamphetamine from the home while her children were present. She was taken to the main jail.
Threaten School Official--Oct. 4, 11:40 a.m., Homestead Road. A student on active juvenile probation threatened bodily injury to school staff. The student was taken to the main jail.
Elder Abuse--Oct. 3, 11:15 a.m., Corte Madera Lane. A son caring for his mother neglected her, rendering her home uninhabitable. The son also took $1,000 given to him by the mother for remodeling and used it to buy toy rockets.
