Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Burglary (Commercial)--Oct. 22, 5:05 p.m., Bandley Drive. A person placed items in a shopping basket, then fled the store to a waiting vehicle. The vehicle, a red Honda Civic, headed toward De Anza Boulevard, and the occupants are at large.
Burglary (Residential)--Oct. 22, 11:15 a.m., Shadygrove Drive. A person(s) entered a residence through an unlocked sliding glass door. The person took a purse containing about $200 in currency. The person(s) responsible are at large.
Possession of Methampheta-mine--Oct. 22, 8:57 a.m., Wunderlich Drive. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a violation and conducted a consent search. The search yielded a small white container of methamphetamine. The officer booked the driver into the main jail.
Burglary (Residential)--Oct. 22, 8:45 a.m., Yorkshire Drive. Sometime between 10 p.m. and midnight, a person(s) entered an occupied residence through a garage door. The person took a purse containing a wedding ring valued at $35,000, a $3,000 jade ring, credit cards and $600 in cash. The person(s) responsible are at large.
Arson--Oct. 21, 8:30 a.m., Bubb Road. A person(s) took several election posters from school walls. The person placed the posters in the middle of a quad and set them on fire. The person(s) responsible is at large.
Grand Theft--Oct. 20, 3:45 p.m., Infinite Loop. An unknown person(s) stole nine iPods with a retail value of $349 each. The total value of the taken items is $3,141.
