Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Theft by False Pretense­Oct. 28, 11 p.m., Pruneridge Avenue. A person sent an email to another person requesting to purchase a camera posted for sale on the online site, Craig's List. The person forged an online payment money order and is at large.

Construction After Hours­Oct. 26, 8:50 p.m., Johnson Avenue. A person was making unreasonable noise in violation of a Cupertino city ordinance. The person was cited and released.

Grand Theft­Oct. 26, 3:30 p.m., Lucille Avenue. An unknown person(s) broke into a locked car stall storage unit and stole several work tools valued at $1,000. The person(s) responsible is at large.

Indecent Exposure­Oct. 26, 8 a.m., Finch Avenue. A man parked his car across the street from a soccer practice and watched female students. A soccer coach witnessed the man exit the car, expose himself, return to the car and then drive away.

Identity Theft­Oct. 24, 9:45 p.m., Randy Lane. A person obtained another person's personal information without permission. The person then opened a credit card account, made $2,300 in charges and is at large.

Battery­Oct. 24, 8 a.m., Bubb Road. A student was in gym class at a middle school when he was struck by a rock thrown by another person. The rock struck the student over his left eye and opened a cut that needed three stitches to close. The person(s) responsible is still at large.
